Pitching Development

My program revolves around five key elements: weekly arm care, body awareness, velocity training, mound work, and mental skills. The focus of each athlete’s training will be determined based on their initial evaluation, and customized with the goal of building on their existing skill set.

Additionally, I highly recommend athletes get in touch with Dillon Cain at Brooklyn Baseball Foundry for personalized strength and agility training, which will be another key element in helping them reach their full potential.

Personal Experience

My unconventional path to the big leagues provided me with a unique skillset, a dynamic approach to the game, and guiding principles that now inform my pitching instruction. Having only 3 scholarship offers in high school, to being drafted in the 45th round, and being the smallest pitcher in the big leagues since 1964, I had to make the most of every opportunity and outwork everyone at every level. Developing a niche pitching repertoire, impeccable control, unshakeable nerve and the drive to be undeniable are what gave me the confidence and ability to reach the big leagues, and set me apart during my 11-year professional career. I’m happy to now apply this valuable perspective and experience in my work with young athletes looking to forge their own pathways.
